William “Bill” Covington has practiced law for over 25 years and is currently the Lead Attorney for cases in Mississippi for Howe Law headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.
After attending the University of Alabama and Oklahoma City University School of Law, Mr. Covington began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Oklahoma City. From there, he returned home to Mississippi to engage in private practice, mostly in the areas of personal injury, nursing home negligence, pharmaceutical liability, and medical malpractice where he has successfully amassed numerous multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts. Mr. Covington has significant trial experience, litigating over 100 cases through jury verdict.
He has served as an instructor in constitutional law and other topics at law enforcement training academies in Mississippi and Oklahoma. When not busy with his various professional endeavors Bill enjoys hunting, playing golf, and scuba diving.
